Wavebuilder: How long have you had waves?
LaMont: I’ve had waves 7 months. I didn’t know anything about waves before that.
WB: What is your wave building routine?
LM: My routine consists of 2hrs brushing per day. Medium and soft brushes only. I comb 20 mins before I begin to brush. Soft brush products in and then I get to work. Comb, then medium brush and then soft. Plastic bag to lay down frizz and then I rag up making sure flaps are straight and flat.
WB: What are your favorite wave building products?
LM: I don’t use many products. Wavebuilder Brushing Oil is my go to. Oils and my hair mix well together.
WB: How often do you brush?
LM: I brush 2x a day. 2hrs total on average.
WB: Besides building waves what do you like to do?
LM: Besides waving I love to play basketball and listen to music. I’m a father of two daughters so my time is there most of the time. I brush at night and when I have breaks at work.
WB: What do girls love about your waves?
LM: The ladies love how silky my waves are when they run their hands through them. Which I like!
WB: Any advice for those just starting out?
LM: Advice, waving is like anything else in life. Be yourself and be consistent. Don’t be in a rush to complete your pattern. It’s okay to fail some days, just means your failing forward if you pick the brush back up the next day or session. I love waving!
WB: How does it feel to be Wave King?
LM: It feels AMAZING to be KING 👑‼️
